Kenneth Bartizal, Ph.D., Chief Development Officer,
has over 30 years experience in the field of infectious diseases. Most recently, he was Executive Director and Head of Infectious Disease Research at Merck where he was responsible for lead discovery, optimization and development of infectious disease products. Over the course of his nearly 20 years at Merck, Dr. Bartizal made major contributions to the development and registration of multiple marketed drugs including INVANZ®, and CANCIDAS®. He began his corporate career at Pfizer in antibiotic drug discovery after teaching and postdoctoral research at the University of Wisconsin. He also was a faculty member and conducted research at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and Northeast Missouri State University. Dr. Bartizal received his undergraduate, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Notre Dame.
