Anti-microbial company hires Chief Financial Officer to raise VC funds

San Diego, CA, January 3, 2005 – Rx3 Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a drug discovery company, announced today that it has hired John P. Schmid to serve as its Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Schmid was previously co-founder and CFO of GeneFormatics as well as the first CFO of Endonetics. Both firms were backed by major venture capital investors. Over the past seven months, Mr. Schmid has served as an adviser and consultant to Rx3 in forming, capitalizing, and launching the Company.
