Kenneth Bartizal, Ph.D.
Chief Development Officer
Dr. Bartizal has served as our chief development officer since June 2007. From 1988 to 2007, he served as executive director and head of infectious disease research at Merck & Co., Inc., a pharmaceutical company. From 1986 to 1988, Dr. Bartizal served as a research scientist at Pfizer Inc., a pharmaceutical company. From 1983 to 1986, he was a faculty member and conducted research at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and Northeast Missouri State University. Dr. Bartizal holds a B.S. in Professional Studies, an M.S. in Physiology and a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Bartizal performed postdoctoral research at the University of Wisconsin from 1981 to 1983.
