Krzysztof Appelt, Ph.D.

Dr. Appelt is a biotechnology veteran with 24 years industry experience at Agouron, Warner-Lambert, and Pfizer. Dr. Appelt led teams that discovered and developed drugs such as Viracept, Prinomastat, and several other compounds currently in various stages of clinical testing. Most recently he was the Executive Vice President and CTO at Quorex Pharmaceuticals prior to that company's acquisition by Pfizer in January 2005. He is an experienced and distinguished scientist, inventor, and executive manager. He is currently President and CEO of Great Lakes Pharmaceuticals, a clinical stage company focused on development and commercialization of products designed to prevent infections associated with indwelling catheters.
